Valery Brinda and Kia Schwang came to me for help creating a new boutique jewelry brand after 15 years working in luxury jewelry in New York. They had designed a unique signature product to lead the brand launch, the chapter bracelet, inspired by the ID bracelets that newborn babies receive in the hospital. They designed a piece that memorialized this special moment, and wanted to create a brand specific to this concept, but with space to expand into new product lines.
They came to me with mood board inspiration containing beautiful flowers, spring colors, Brooklyn architecture, and a subtle sparkle. We worked together to create a brand strategy and visual identity that incorporated these core aspects of their brand ethos, elevated and targeted to their core demographic, the premium to luxury buyer who values ethically sourced jewelry, and personalized, luxury gifts.
We created a brand identity that was elegant and understated. We drew the forms of the branding elements from the inaugural collection itself, which melds Victorian with modern Art Deco elements, but took care to not make the visual elements so specific as to box them into a certain aesthetic for future lines.
The photography, typography, colors, and e-commerce site work together seamlessly to create a beautiful, elevated, yet personal brand identity that evokes the feeling of new beginnings, new life, new love, that will stand the test of time.
