Sour Cherry Cordial
1 L Bottle Everclear
3 cups sugar
2-3 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon fennel seeds
4 cups filtered water
2-3 rosemary stalks
2 cups sour sundried cherries (I use Montmorency from Trader Joe’s)
1 cup dried or fresh cranberries
Heat all ingredients (except the booze!) on medium high until they reach a heavy simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook until reduced by 1/3 (about 30 mins). Strain through mesh strainer. Allow to cool and then add Everclear. Add water as needed to taste.
Best served chilled! Great to sip or mixed with ginger ale for a festive holiday punch!
